Full grain leather is derived from the top layer of the hide, just beneath the hair. This layer retains all its natural characteristics, as a result it is incredibly strong and durable. Unlike other types of leather that may weaken over time, full grain leather maintains its integrity, ensuring that your leather product is an investment and will lasts for years. Full grain leather is regarded as the highest quality leather available and at TALA we only use full grain leather.

Many people don’t understand the term genuine leather. This term can often be misleading as it refers to leather that is made from lower-quality hides and is typically at the base of the quality spectrum when it comes to leather products. While genuine leather is indeed made from animal hides, it does not have the same durability or longevity as higher-grade leathers such as top-grain or full-grain leather.
