I am Anke Groenewald, the founder and designer behind TALA. I am a wife and mother of two boys and creating from my home workshop in the beautiful Wellington, Western Cape.

Every great venture begins with a spark of inspiration, and for me, that spark ignited from a lifelong passion for creating something new and unique. Since I can remember I am a practical individual who has always found joy in making things with my hands. 

By balancing my career as a physiotherapist with motherhood while pursuing this creative outlet, I’ve created something meaningful that resonates with many people looking for authentic craftsmanship.

Being a mother adds another layer to my journey. My sons’ curiosity about how I make leather products inspires me to involve them in simple projects, teaching them the value of creativity and hard work.
